The Rico SJ2508 is a cold press slow juicer (also called a masticating juicer) for fruits and vegetables. Its 300W copper-wound DC motor turns a bladeless spiral auger at just 46 RPM. It presses the juice out slowly instead of cutting at high speed, so you get juice with less heat, less foam and less oxidation. Besides juice, it makes smoothies, almond milk and coconut milk, and its ice cream attachment turns frozen fruit into a soft, creamy dessert with no added sugar. How to make ice cream

1. Peel soft fruit such as banana, mango, strawberry or kiwi and cut it into small pieces.
2. Freeze the pieces for at least 24 hours until hard.
3. Take them out about 5 minutes before use.
4. Fit the ice cream filter, switch on, and feed the frozen fruit slowly, adding a little milk or yogurt to taste.
5. The ice cream comes out of the pulp outlet. Wash the parts soon after use.

Is the Rico SJ2508 a cold press juicer?

What is the difference between a slow juicer and a normal juicer?

Can I put whole fruits in?

The 75 mm feed chute takes small whole fruits and large pieces, so there is much less chopping. Cut bigger fruit to fit, remove hard seeds and stones, and peel oranges, mosambi and pomegranate.

Can it make nut milk or coconut milk?

Yes. You can make almond milk and coconut milk at home with the Rico SJ2508.

What should I not put in it?

Avoid amla, sugarcane, grains and other very hard items. They can jam or damage the auger and filter.

Will it start if a part is not fitted properly?

No. A built-in safety lock stops the juicer from starting unless all parts are assembled correctly.

Can it make ice cream?

Yes. Fit the included ice cream filter and feed frozen fruit with a little milk or yogurt to make a soft, creamy dessert.

How noisy is it?

About 60 dB, which is quiet enough for early mornings and late nights.

How long can I run it at one time?

Up to 20 minutes. Then let it rest for 30 minutes before using it again.

What do I do if food gets stuck?

Switch to O (off), then to REV for a few seconds to push the food back, then switch ON again. Always pass through O – do not switch directly from ON to REV.

Does it drip after juicing?

Close the anti-drip lever on the juice spout to stop drips when you move the cup.

How do I clean it?

Unplug it and take off the feed chute, auger, filter and bowl – no tools needed. The parts are dishwasher safe, or wash them under running water with the cleaning brush in the box. Wipe the motor base with a dry cloth – never put it in water.
